As some of you may know, our small community was turned upside down when one of Hamilton Heights' seniors lost her life on her way to prom on May 1st. Our little town has been grieving for the senior's family and classmates for the past two weeks. During this time, the community has also shown an outpouring of endless love and support as well. It's what we do here in Arcadia (Husky Nation).
As a community member and Hamilton Heights parent, I wanted to show support for the high school and for our town. I am deeply honored by Hamilton Heights High School for allowing me to open up my barn doors to their students to create a new, hopefully happy, and memorable moment during their junior/senior year. I am also very moved by the generous vendors that have offered their resources as well (food, music, flowers, hairstyling, tuxes, etc.) to bless our high schoolers. This community truly feels like one big family, taking care of others whenever the need arises. If you are reading this and have donated your time or resources to support Kalen's family, Hamilton Heights students, or the community... thank you. SO much. From the bottom of my heart. I consider this town to be my family, and it means so much how all of us are coming together to support one another.
